Missing for Seven Years, Abdul “Aziz” Khan Found Safe in Colorado
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is thrilled to announce that Abdul “Aziz” Khan, who vanished from Atlanta, Georgia, in 2017, has been safely located just outside Denver, Colorado. Aziz’s non-custodial mother, Rabia Khalid, and her husband, Elliot Blake Bourgeois, have been arrested on multiple felony charges, including kidnapping. Authorities say Khalid abducted Aziz when he was just seven years old. Today, he is 14.

Aziz’s family expressed their relief and gratitude through a statement shared by NCMEC:
“We are overwhelmed with joy that Aziz has finally been found. We deeply appreciate the support we’ve received over the past seven years. As we focus on moving forward and healing as a family, we kindly ask for privacy during this time.”
Discovery in Colorado
According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a burglary call on February 23, 2025, at a vacant home listed for sale in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The homeowner, monitoring security cameras, reported seeing two individuals unlawfully enter the property.
When deputies arrived, they found two children waiting inside a vehicle in the driveway while two adults emerged from the house. Initially, the adults claimed to be associated with a realtor, but deputies soon uncovered their true identities—Rabia Khalid and Elliot Blake Bourgeois. Upon discovering that Khalid had an outstanding warrant for kidnapping her son, authorities took Aziz and another child (whose identity remains undisclosed) into protective custody.
Arrests and Charges
Khalid and Bourgeois were taken into custody and now face multiple charges, including:
- Second-Degree Kidnapping
- Forgery
- Identity Theft
- Providing False Information to Authorities
- Trespassing
Ongoing Investigation and Recognition
