According to the Chino Hills Police Department, officers were called to a home on Canon Lane on Sunday after a homeowner found a portable power supply device in his driveway. Upon further inspection, authorities searched the surrounding area and uncovered a concealed camera hidden within a bush. The device, designed to blend in as part of the foliage, was connected to another power source.
It remains unclear who installed the camera, but this incident is part of a growing trend in which hidden surveillance devices have been found in Southern California neighborhoods.
Authorities warn that criminals, including burglars, may use these cameras to track homeowners’ daily routines. To protect against such threats, police recommend regularly inspecting your property and asking landscapers to stay vigilant. Anyone who comes across a suspicious device should report it to law enforcement immediately.
