This is the shocking moment neighbours rescue a “naked, hungry and frozen” two-year-old girl after being abandoned by her cruel mum. Little Luka was dumped by her 20-year-old mum in Russia for almost four days and forced to drink from a toilet while her mum partied with “drugs and alcohol”, according to police.
Officers confirmed the toddler was locked in the home and unable to leave the property, adding that it was “miraculous” she had survived without proper food. On the fourth day, the starving and “cold” child managed to make steps from piles of rags and climb onto a windowsill to call for her missing mum. She opened the window to plead with passers-by for help.
She threw toilet paper, spoons and plates out of the window to attract attention. Local children in Voronezh, Russia, including a girl called Vika, seven, saw her and contacted adults for help.

The mother, named only as Alexandra S, was seen under arrest as she faced a court. She has been charged with the “attempted murder” of her daughter. She told investigators: “I was invited to meet my friends.
“I agreed and left my daughter alone at home, locked the flat, and went to their place.” She was detained for two months pending further investigations.
She is suspected of deliberately seeking to kill the child. The Russian Investigative Committee said: “She left the child with no water and food, without informing anyone of the daughter’s whereabouts.”
Authorities said: “The girl managed to climb onto the windowsill, opened the window and called passers-by for help.
“They reported the incident to law enforcement agencies. The exhausted child was taken to the hospital, where she received qualified medical care. At present, the girl’s life and health are not in danger.”
She is being treated for tonsillitis and symptoms of angina. Reports say the woman is married but separated from the child’s father.
Lifestyle news outlet, citing law enforcement officials, reported that the mother is suspected to have “deliberately hid food and water from the child, and also completely undressed her.”
A friend was quoted as saying: “We are in shock. We could not even imagine that she is capable of such a thing.”
