Don’t judge a book by its cover is an old saying, but it never hurts to be reminded of it.
It can occasionally be incredibly unfair to judge a parent based just on their appearance if they do not seem as you would expect them to.
People accused him of being a bad father because of the tattoos on his face. Everyone was astonished when his wife then disclosed some shocking information. Continue reading to learn more.
One essential aspect of being yourself is expressing who you are. One of the best ways for people to express themselves artistically is via tattoos. Richard Huff, 51, has more than 240 tattoos and has also decided to express himself through them.
In addition to his wife, the self-described ink addict has five children. His wife frequently shares images and videos of him with their children on social media, but viewers do not always like them.
Huff, 51, wants people to know his family is “no different’ to any other.
However, he has said he is constantly ridiculed by complete strangers online because of his appearance.
He described his beginnings. It became an addiction, Huff said, he started with his legs and made his way up.
He told us how it all began for him. I just started with my legs and worked my way up, it became an addiction,” Huff said. He said 85 percent of his body is tattooed. Names of his children and his daughter’s lips are among the tattoos.
Richard said he wants to be 100 percent tattooed ‘probably within the next four years.’ “When I was able to do this, I don’t know if it’s the pain or whatever you put on you but it just becomes fascinating.”
“Having so many tattoos has its own challenges,” he said. The children at his children’s school found him frightening, he said.
“They remark, ‘oh it is a bit scary,’ and I respond ‘no, my dad is not scary, he is good with tattoos,'” according to his daughter.
Marita, his wife, disclosed that she was also afraid of Richard. “I did initially evaluate Richard based on his appearance, but after getting to know him a little, I realized that he is a big-hearted person,” she added.
She constantly discusses how much her hubby loves her in her blog entries. She keeps praising him, describing him as a caring father and a loyal husband.
Richard is much more than just a biological father to his three children from past marriages, as Marita has disclosed to others.
Richard shared, “I participate in the PTA, I go to all my kids’ functions.”
But even with all this information about his gentle soul out there, people still criticize him.
One comment read, “I’m not against tattoos, but I mean honestly, does he really need tattoos on his face like that?”
Others, however, stand up for Richard as well. “Everyone keeps talking about his face tattoo,” one person remarked. He enjoys it. He understood. He is a decent dad. Leave him alone.
“If anybody can make harsh comments like that, there is something wrong with them that they would have to judge anyone else,” Richard said in response to the criticism. “This is what we did, and we are satisfied,” they added. Since our children are content and we have been together for six years, that is all that matters to us.
Richard goes on to remark that no matter how much his family despises him or how much he despises them, he still loves them..
“I’m not scared of tattoos, my kids are not scared of tattoos … It does not make me a bad father … It gives my kids another view on life,” he said.
After seeing him without all the tattoos, some people can’t believe the same person!
Apparently, Richard Huff is a nice husband and father much loved by his family.
He’s proof you can’t judge a book by its cover!
